It’s nice to know people that have specialized skills! I have a friend from university who became a healthcare expert a few years ago, and she doesn’t see me respectfully, however if I ever have a medical question I can call him whenever she has not at work.
I mean it’s just really nice knowing somebody who is a nurse & can abruptly address a problem that you might have with your body on a random afternoon.
For instance, it cost me at least $50 as a copay just to see my common physician for a random appointment. I tell my friend all the time I don’t know what I would do without having him in my life, because of all the medical questions I inevitably get with the conditions I have! These are the types of friends that you need to hold on to for as long as possible. But it’s also really nice to date somebody who has a lot of specialized know-how as well. My partner for instance is unquestionably well trained in the trades, however she started out as an apprentice carpenter for her uncle & abruptly became an electrician as well. But the industry that she ended up liking the most is the heating & cooling industry. She’s currently a residential Heating, Ventilation & A/C corporation for a big heating & cooling corporation here in the city. She has so many specialized skills when it comes to cooling systems & heaters that I never have to worry about us having troubles with her Heating, Ventilation & A/C systems as a result. She just knows so much that it’s such a big relief & a weight off my chest.
