The tropical climate means lots of humidity and rain

Living in a tropical climate means dealing with a lot of humidity and rain.

During the summer, I have bugs in my house the size of my thumb.

It’s hard to get rid of them, because they are trying to find a cool and dry space. There’s so much humidity and rain during the summer. It seems to rain every single afternoon. After lunch, the storm clouds roll into the valley and we get a little bit of afternoon rain. It cools off the temperatures when the rain is falling, but the humidity seems to be even greater after it stops. Humidity is really hard on my AC unit. Humidity means excess moisture in the air and that makes the AC unit have to work harder. I decided to buy a dehumidifier a couple of weeks ago. I was down at the supercenter and I saw them on an end cap. The dehumidifier was $300, but it seemed like a really good buy. The dehumidifier had an AC function as well. I thought that I would be able to put the dehumidifier in the kitchen or the living room and perhaps the bedroom. It turns out that I can put the dehumidifier anywhere that I want. There is no need for me to struggle either, because it is absolutely very easy to set it up and take it down to move it to a different location. The dehumidifier has helped the indoor temperatures and it also helps to cool down the space where it is located. Sometimes I will keep it in the kitchen when I am cooking and sometimes I will put the dehumidifier in the living room.
