Dealing with HVAC issues in a new home

My neighbor Claudia got to build his home last year; then as his friends since junior high, my good friend and I promised to help him implement some of his DIY upgrades for the home to save money… However, my associate and I wanted to DIY the heating and A/C unit, so my good friend and I went online to seek quality heating and A/C systems that would fit the house! I went on Reddit to ask for input from other homeowners, and most comments warned us of the system of doing an actual heating and A/C upgrade for ourselves.

My associate and I did get recommendations for heating and A/C brands my good friend and I could self-install, but most reviews told us to hire an actual heating and A/C professional for everything.

It was totally clear that there was the only way to avoid the cost of hiring an actual heating and A/C provider for the upgrade if my good friend and I wanted to avoid buying new heating and A/C component sooner than my good friend and I wanted; and since everyone had their jobs to assist with, and I was very invested in the heating and A/C, I decided to visit the local heating and A/C company for better input on what my good friend and I could help with indoor comfort without cutting the budget. I’ve only had to deal with an actual heating and A/C repairman during heating and A/C maintenance; so I had no system where to start the consultation, but luckily, the expert took the lead. I was already intrigued by all the new heating and A/C technology opportunities available at their shop, so I finally knew I had to take our time before making a decision! The window shopping was followed up with a property inspection where Claudia connected the heating and cooling expert with his contractor so they could figure out the plan, then our own expansive research and effort paid off because the system was installed within our budget, and my good friend and I got an additional feature my good friend and I had not thought about: a real smart thermostat.
