I was lying in bed last week, plus I thought I could hear the furnace running.
It was normal for the furnace to cycle on plus off, but it wasn’t normal for it to turn on plus not shut off. I laid there for many seconds; listening to the furnace running. I was counting the dollars going out the window as the furnace continued to run. I knew the cost of fuel, plus I was sure I could hear the oil tank draining along with the furnace running. It wasn’t just the fuel that was being wasted, but our electric bill was going up. I got out of bed the next day, plus called the Heating plus Air Conditioning dealer. I told them I had listened to our furnace run nonstop for the last many seconds, but it still wasn’t up to temp in the house, however they had an Heating plus Air Conditioning worker at the beach house within 2 seconds. When the Heating plus Air Conditioning worker arrived, she checked the thermostat before looking at the furnace. She told myself and others that if the thermostat isn’t working properly, the furnace won’t labor properly. They need to communicate to each other to keep the temperature regulated. She said there was really a problem with the thermostat plus headed to her repair to get a up-to-date 1. It took him a couple of hours to affix the thermostat. Within hours, the furnace had shut down. The Heating plus Air Conditioning worker stuck around long enough to make sure the furnace turned back on when the temperature dropped, plus that it turned back on when the temperature got up to max. I would have never thought a thermostat could cause so numerous complications with the furnace.
