I messaged my new HVAC expert flatmate asking if everything is okay back home, but I haven’t heard from her and I think I know why.
The day before I was flying she kept talking to me nonstop and I was trying to focus on all of the things I had to do with the HVAC system and my packing.
I told her that I really can’t talk right now and she got all quiet and walked away. Maybe it was the tone of my voice, or maybe she is not used to someone saying that, but I think it was the right thing to do given the circumstances I was under. She works at this local business as a heating and cooling pro and I guess she isn’t used to someone being direct with her like I was. But I really had to focus on what I was doing and talking to her would have been very distracting. She seemed like she was talking way too much, almost as if she was nervous or something, and I just told her I couldn’t talk then. I think the HVAC company where she works is pretty low stress and maybe she isn’t used to someone being curt with her like I was. I hope she forgives me and doesn’t hold a grudge or something, or even worse, I hope she doesn’t move out! Anyway, if worse comes to worse, I have another person who works at this local business who wants to move in. It all works out in the end so I’m not too worried about it.
