It’s like pulling teeth sometimes with my husband when it comes to changing things up or improving things around the house. A great example of that can be seen with the HVAC equipment upgrade I suggested years ago. Once the smart thermostat was available, I thought it was pretty neat and interesting. HVAC technology that helps maintain the heating and cooling of the house without our input was appealing. The fact that it also saved a ton in HVAC heating and cooling cost was even better. However, when I suggested this idea to my husband he wanted to wait to let the HVAC technology continue to develop. This is a big pattern with him. However, it’s logic that it’s hard to argue with so I let it go. So I brought it up again I got the same sort of push back. Well, I kept pushing him about the smart thermostat and so he figured out how to program the digital thermostat we’ve had for 15 years. Again, another clever ploy to avoid buying the new HVAC technology. All it took where my kids throwing a football in the house for me to finally get my smart thermostat. For sure, it wasn’t the way I had expected to get this HVAC technology upgrade. Instead, it took an errant spiral to completely destroy that old digital thermostat. I jumped on the opportunity and called the HVAC company and had the smart thermostat installed. I didn’t hear a peep from my husband. These days, we are saving so much money on the HVAC cooling costs in the summer. This is our biggest HVAC utility cost for sure. And I’m amazed at how well this HVAC technology works.
