Occasionally, the weirdest things happen. I was sort of anxious about our various older kids. They took some fathering to help them get through university and find a passion that could be a job. There were plenty of late night calls in the air conditioner of our automobile so I wouldn’t wake up their mom. But, they are both solid now and living their current adult lives. It was our youngest that I thought would just glide to greatness. This was the kid I had to kick out of the air conditioner so he’d get some sun instead of constant learning. His interest in finance came young and it came with compassion. I’m so proud that our kid took his passion for finance to the people instead of making bank in the zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning of some hedge fund. This kid knew he wanted to be in international finance to help emerging economies become more sustainable and improve lives. He was laboring for a firm right out of college when the pandemic hit and this start up went down. So that kid was the one who came back to the quality heating and air of home. Actually, it’s the quality heating and air of the basement. While he was home, all of us completely turned the basement into a ridiculous guest quarters. With the ductless Heating and Air Conditioning, all of us could even rent that thing out. My kid bounced right back and is off overseas helping people. But I’m sure grateful for the bonus time all of us had while he was at home. Plus, the ductless heat pump and all the amenities downstairs was a blast to do with him.
