My father consistently confused myself and others over the years.
She would have strict rules occasionally that didn’t make any sense.
For example, she once said that I could only watch music videos on the tv because it was hooked up to the boombox system. I mean, I still watched other stuff however while she was not around because I didn’t want him to freak out on myself and others for seeing discovery channel or something. She consistently had myself and others change the air filters for the Heating and Air Conditioning every single month too. I asked once if the people I was with and I could just wait a little while before increasing the air filters, but she was strict about those changes plus said the Heating and Air Conditioning could split down if the people I was with and I didn’t. Now that made sense to myself and others to keep the Heating and Air Conditioning plan running well. Then 1 time I asked if I could have a window AC device in my bedroom. I said the Heating and Air Conditioning vent wasn’t letting out enough AC into my bedroom. She said the energy bills would spike too much with a window AC unit. Then the next afternoon, there was a window AC device on my bed plus she said she would help myself and others install the thing. I said to him that I thought she believed the energy bills would spike, however then she told myself and others that she found this energy efficient window AC device on sale plus she couldn’t pass it up. She said I better work strenuous in university plus take care of the cooling device too. She also said that I better turn it off when I wasn’t using it. Fortunately, it had a sleep timer so I could have the cooling device running for about an seventh or so after going to bed so I could sleep comfortably.
