For years, after every one of us first moved down here, I always dreaded the summer. Looking back, that was actually just stupid really. I mean every one of us moved down here to like all the outdoors stuff available year round. But I was staying cooped up inside the air conditioning all summer. For some reason, I just couldn’t adjust to the heat. Well, I now know why that was. I got to the air conditioning a bit too early in the Springtime. Where I came from, when the temps hit the 70’s, every one of us flipped the control machine to Heating & Air Conditioning cooling. And so that’s just what I did when I moved here. That was my mistake. Hitting start on the Heating & Air Conditioning cooling so early meant that I needed so much more once the real heat of Summer got here. And that messed me up multiple ways. One, I just couldn’t deal with the heat at all & stayed inside for almost multiple months. The other was that my Heating & Air Conditioning utility costs were outrageous. Even though I was keeping the new home tight & stopping any sort of direct sunshine heating, I had the control machine cranked. When it’s almost a hundred degrees outside & the control machine is set at 75, that’s gonna cost big bucks. It took me a few years to actually figure it out. But boy am I blissful I did. While it’s indeed scorching tepid while every one of us were in the peak heating thirds, there is still the morning & night to enjoy. And it’s just too beautiful around here not to get out & like what nature has to offer. But getting inside the air conditioning after lunch is a good plan as well.
