The trip was a great success.
We had a series of meetings planned, and only one had yielded unexpected results. I had earned my leave and decided to spend time at home relaxing. It was winter, and I realized I hadn’t rested in some time. I went to the grocery store, did my hair and nails then settled in for the evening. But, for some reason, the house kept getting cold. I would adjust the temperature, but a few minutes later, I’d feel a chill. It was unusual for me to wear a pullover when the air conditioner was on. The air conditioning was blowing ample warm air into the house. So the only plausible explanation was there were air leaks hence the chill. There was little I could do about the issue at that hour. Though the HVAC company near me had 24-hour emergency service, I’d have to pay an extra fee. I went to bed with a blanket and pullover. The following day I was on the phone with the AC business and explained the problem. Two air conditioner technicians arrived at my house an hour later in an AC company van. First, they checked the central cooling and heating system for any faults. It was a quality HVAC unit, so they opted to check the house. Numerous spots were causing the leaks, including the air duct. A rat had made a huge hole in one of them and built a nest for its young ones. The AC experts found lots of babies on it, but the mother was nowhere in sight. They got rid of the nest and began sealing all the air leaks in the house. That way, the AC unit could efficiently warm my house night and day.
