For my birthday this year, I had a different kind of request.
I asked my brother if instead of buying me a gift, if he could build me something for my house. I’ve been a homeowner for a little over a year now and it’s taken some time to get used to the new responsibilities and chores that need to be done.There is so much more to take care of when you actually own a house, and that’s been an adjustment for me. Our Heating and A/C system is one thing I’m now accountable for that I wasn’t previously. After doing some research, I realized that if I wanted my Heating and A/C system to work properly, I needed to take excellent care of it. This meant I needed to get it inspected twice a year and clean it every now and again. After reading this, I realized our condenser component was located at the back of our house, which received the most direct sunlight. I asked my brother if he could create a transparent wall for our condenser unit to safeguard it. I wanted to cover our condenser unit from direct sunlight with discarded pieces of wood. I was hoping that this would extend the life of our condenser component and keep it running efficiently, but my brother was more than happy to build it for me, and he thought it was a great way to protect our condenser component from the sun, but he liked it so much that he decided to build one for his own new home.
