So I am a person who had it all, lost it all and then found everything.
Sounds like a good TV mini series huh? Well, I don’t know that it would be that entertaining but it sure hasn’t been boring to live through. There was a time when I spent a minimum of 70 hours a week in the zone controlled HVAC of our offices. That’s what it took to dominate and be successful. And the way I was raised, that’s the only end game there is. Amass wealth and don’t look back was sort of my motto. But all those hours in that zone controlled office played a big part in losing just about every relationship that ever really mattered to me. My family and I lived in a great big house that was very well appointed and had the latest in HVAC technology providing perfect quality heating and air. There was not a material possession of service that any of us wanted for. The world was just there for our indulgence it seemed. But that wasn’t a family. My wife was the first to bail and then the kids sort of followed suit. I ended up with a drinking problem and that eventually was a major factor of me getting jettisoned from that zone controlled HVAC office space. But honestly, it took losing all of that for me to realize that there is just far more to life than the way I had approached it before. Now, I live in a little cabin on some land. I have ductless heat pump for heating and cooling. My life is simple and wonderful. And I am fulfilled working as an online consultant.
