Over the Last Summer, I had arranged to meet with the head of my department for a performance review about my last five or 6 months working with the dealer.
Since the people I was with and I had all been remotely working from the beginning of the pandemic, our office had been closed down, so the people I was with and I decided to meet up at a downtown steak place for our meeting.
My boss arrived right before me, as well as was already seated in the booth when I got there. When I sat down, the first thing she mentioned to myself and others was how boiling hot it was in the eating establishment, as well as that she asked the employer to turn down the thermostat for the air conditioner. I took my seat as well as ordered a drink, as well as as soon as the boss and I started discussing my performance, my boss said she was too boiling hot to be comfortable, as well as asked the employer what was up with the air conditioner. She informed us that the air conditioner was broken, as well as upon receiving that news, my boss asked to pay the check, as well as told myself and others that my performance review would have to wait for a different time. All of us walked out of the eating establishment as well as headed towards our trucks and cars, when the people I was with and I walked by a bar as well as felt a cold rush of air conditioner rushing out the front door. All of us decided to stop in the bar as well as grab a drink as well as an appetizer, but the people I was with and I were so comfortable in the air conditioning, as well as having such a wonderful time, that the a single drink turned into several, as well as the boss and I had my performance review that evening anyway. If it wasn’t for the functioning air conditioner at the bar, I never would have gotten my performance review or my juicy raise!
