The fence repair company tried to charge us a fortune

I love living in a neighborhood with lots of tall and growing trees.

  • They provide a great deal of shade during the summer months and help to keep the electricity bill lower.

Unfortunately, those towering and large trees can cause a lot of problems when we have tropical storm-force winds. A couple of weeks ago, we were very close to getting hit with a hurricane. Luckily, the storm settled down before it reached land and we were only hit with tropical storm force winds. Those winds lasted for hours and hours. The trees in the backyard could not withstand the high winds for that long amount of time. A couple of them came down on top of the fence in the backyard. After the storm was over, my wife and I went outside to look at all of the damage. There was too much fence damage for the two of us to complete the work, so we called a fencing company that does repairs. The fence repair company tried to charge us a fortune. My wife and I told the guy that we were going to call other places for an estimate and he acted like she had the best price in town. I knew he was charging us too much for the fencing repairs and I was assured after I called for a few other estimates. Since the original fencing company took all of the measurements, it was easy to get prices from other competitors in the area. I know the insurance company was paying for the damages, but I still wanted to save money.
