The owner of the house building cares about our feedback and advice

For the longest time, I have been toiling maintenance in an house building.

I have an okay relationship with the owner of the building and he pays myself and others to make sure everything is toiling officially and the renters’ complaints are addressed, however one of the largest problems the two of us have is problems with the Heating and A/C systems.

While I am a maintenance professional, I’m not entirely an Heating and A/C professional. I have told the owner multiple times that he needs to have actual Heating and A/C professionals come out to give tune-ups for the Heating and A/C systems in the building because that was something I was not able to do. I was able to clean them out and make sure the air filters were changed, but that was about it. Eventually he listened when there were a lot of complaints in the building, then unfortunately, the Heating and A/C professional determined that more than 2 of the Heating and A/C systems were shot and had to be upgraded. The owner was not undoubtedly ecstatic but I got him to look at the bright side. I said the renters would be much happier and more comfortable. On top of that, they would save currency on the energy bills with a new Heating and A/C idea and there would not be tons of breakdowns and complaints. He finally decided to go for the Heating and A/C upgrades in the building and things have been running relatively smoothly ever since. I’m thrilled that he entirely listened to what I had to say instead of just ignoring our advice. This is why I don’t mind this task because the two of us are able to get along and the pay is pretty good.
