Writing a cable jingle for an Heating and Air Conditioning dealer

Basically she needed a catchy tune that included the name of her Heating and Air Conditioning business, and nothing else absolutely mattered

Being a musician has never paid my bills, but it’s my dream and I just can’t let go of it. I work whatever dead end task I need to work to make rent for the month, and keep myself in beer and smokes, and then I spend all my free time writing and performing. I will play whatever bars or taverns around time want to supply myself and others an open tab, and it never translates to any kind of payment beyond that. Then one evening I get a odd task offer, after I finish my set… A local Heating and Air Conditioning business was there at the bar, and asked if I could write a jingle for her boombox ad campaign. I laughed, thinking she was joking, and besides I don’t suppose anything about cooling systems to write a song about! Then she told myself and others how much she would spend money myself and others for it, and I assume my response was “I’ve constantly wanted to write a song about an cooling system.” She was a easily cool guy, and provided myself and others an overview of heating and cooling systems in general, telling myself and others not to worry about the details too much. Basically she needed a catchy tune that included the name of her Heating and Air Conditioning business, and nothing else absolutely mattered. It took a couple of weeks, and then I brought my guitar down to her Heating and Air Conditioning offices and just played it for him and her crew. I threw in a 10 minute guitar solo for free, but I knew it wouldn’t be area of the Heating and Air Conditioning tv advertisement.
