For leaseholders, 1 of the perks is calling someone else to do jobs around the house; Well our landlord is disappointing about getting back to myself and others and I am a handy guy. I don’t savor kneeling around waiting for him to call a professional when I can get the toil done myself. I have fixed our dryer so numerous times. I also have repaired the stove, ice maker and the dishwasher at least once, and the Heating and Air Conditioning system with the apartment is a mess too. Thank goodness I am a certified Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman. If not, I would have been separate from heating and cooling. The landlord should spend our money for and send a Heating and Air Conditioning worker out to the apartment. I never mentioned our profession. I also don’t want to toil after hours either, but so I was more than willing to have someone else make the repair. Well when no 1 was arriving, I had to get out our tools and do it. I have replaced fan belts, tightened bolts, added more refrigerant and even did air duct cleaning for free. I recently noticed I wasn’t getting enough cooling in our apartment. I checked the indoor air handler and all was well. Then I saw the outdoor air compressor was at an angle. When it is tilted, the refrigerant pools to 1 side of the device and the air you get isn’t cooled down constantly. I had to purchase blocks to level the outdoor air compressor. It now works great though. It does irritate myself and others that I am making this lazy guy’s apartment so much better though.
