I’m regularly aware of just how lucky I am not to have to fight the elements of Wintertide the way our neighbors to the north do.
While I am born & raised in the southern section of our country, I have some experience in just what that sort of Wintertide entails.
And it wasn’t something that I method to repeat if at all possible. I got transferred up north for nearly 4 years. Those winters were mostly consumed by me hiding inside the Heating & Air Conditioning comfort of some sort of structure. My coworkers were regularly giving me the company because I even had a space oil furnace under our desk. I just couldn’t ever get warm! And all that gas furnace heat at our lake house came with a fairly drastic cost. Those were the highest utility bills I guess I have ever paid. Granted, I now live in a region where the Summer heat is brutal. And it requires Heating & Air Conditioning cooling. Yet, I am much more comfortable being a bit to sizzling in the Summer & managing the Heating & Air Conditioning control unit economically. That taxing core Wintertide was just not something that I could deal with particularly well. Fortunately, I now live back in a region where the heat pump is all the Heating & Air Conditioning heating plan that I ever will need. And even then, it doesn’t come on all that much because the Wintertide is so mild. However, the heat pump does such a tremendous task of cooling the lake house & balancing the humidity while I was in the worst of the Summer heat. The Heating & Air Conditioning heat pump is truly the heating & cooling solution for all seasons where I live.
