The A/C wasn't as awful as the two of us thought

When our wife & I purchased our modern house she was all sad about the home inspection. The only thing that came back was the home inspector said the A/C plan didn’t keep the home cool. The girl turned on the A/C & wasn’t impressed, and she also told us the HVAC equipment was 17 years old; My wife was totally freaked out about the system of buying a house & then needing to replace the HVAC on top of that. She said it would just be too luxurious. Thankfully I managed to talk him into getting the house & I said I would handle the HVAC. Turns out the home inspector doesn’t know much about HVAC. The first thing I did was replace the air filter in the system. The modern filter was congested with tons of hair, dust & dirt. I then vacuumed out the inside of the plan & cleaned all around the outside. The HVAC fired up & the A/C was almost too cold. It just needed a little cleaning. I decided to go that extra mile & absolutely call for A/C repair a week later. The HVAC professional performed ductwork cleaning to ensure our air quality is fresh. She also checked over the entire plan to see if there were any worn, loose or disfigured parts, but yes, the HVAC is certainly old. It should in theory be done in a few years. The HVAC corporation said that the plan looked to be in wonderful shape though. If I do yearly repair I could extend the lifespan quite a bit for the system.
