It was rather upsetting when we had trouble with our cooling system.
The cooling system was running but the air was not even cold any longer.
I wondered what in the world could be wrong with the HVAC system. Honestly, we had the cooling system tuned up before the summer months and everything was just fine. So I called the HVAC company to see what could be going on. When the HVAC technician was looking everything over, he eventually stumbled across the problem we were having with the cooling system. It turned out that the line that carries the refrigerant was chewed up and all the refrigerant leaked out of our cooling system. When I asked what could have chewed up the lines, the HVAC technician said it looked like it was probably bunnies that did this. Evidently, bunnies will sometimes chew up wires or lines that run to and from the A/C condenser unit. I was absolutely astonished when I heard this news. I guess bunnies have really sharp teeth and love to chew on things. So he was able to replace the line with something that was more reinforced so we wouldn’t have any issues with leaking refrigerant in the future. Then he refilled the refrigerant and our A/C system was working great again. I’m pretty sure with those new refrigerant lines that he installed with the extra reinforcement, those bunnies won’t stand a chance at ruining the cooling system again. At least I hope that’s the case. It might even be possible that it was something else that chewed up the lines instead of bunnies.
