Training leaders in the HVAC company is hard

Owning an HVAC company is not that difficult.

I have owned my own HVAC company for many years, and although it is harder than being a normal HVAC technician, it is obviously not impossible because there are a lot of people that own their own HVAC companies. Also, regardless of what some people say, employing HVAC technicians is not difficult. I have always been good at managing people, and I can deal with HVAC technicians. In order for my HVAC company to work, I have to have HVAC technicians, and I am pleased to say that I have the best HVAC technicians ever. However, most of the HVAC technicians in my company are just normal HVAC technicians, and I doubt that they will ever decide to do anything but be an HVAC technician. As the owner of an HVAC company, I have found that one of the hardest aspects of my job is training leaders. It is easy to train someone to work on an HVAC unit. It is more difficult to train somebody to lead people. Leading people requires hard, work, sacrifice, and selflessness. It is more than just being a manager. Sadly, while I have a lot of HVAC technicians working for me, none of them have the makings of being a leader. That doesn’t mean that somebody cannot learn how to be a leader, but none of my HVAC technicians want to be a leader. That makes me very nervous for the future of the HVAC company. In order for me to pass on the HVAC company, I need a leader, and in order for the HVAC company to expand, I need a leader. It just isn’t very easy.
