My wife and I waited until late in life to build our absolutely first home. This came about because the only other place we have had, we lived in for nearly 22 years. It was a good locale plus we loved bringing our youngsters up in that place. But once they were gone, it didn’t take too long for us to realize that the place was just too much for just two people. So we updated the kitchen appliances and the HVAC unit to put it on the market. It didn’t take very long to sell so, in the interim, my wife and I lived in a smaller house with less than good climate control. And oddly enough, climate control was an issue that was near and dear to both of us in the design of our new site. While we did have a structural contractor who maintained most of the build, it was my wife and I who vetted all the subcontractors. Early on, we found us an HVAC contractor that was just so professional and well organized. The thing about him that was so good was how he could easily listen to our climate control wants and needs, and then, turn those conversations into viable possibilities plus plans. It was quite amazing. Having this person in the fold made it so much easier to allow our focus to bear on the other subcontracting businesses. Just knowing the HVAC contractor would not need to be reminded or pushed about timelines was a sizable plus. But mostly, we are just grateful for what that HVAC contractor was able to do for us. My wife and I now live in a house of our own design that incorporates the finest climate control system I have ever experienced.
