Getting the most out of a our appliances is something that I am all about. This was not always the case. However, after we renovated our home, I had a whole new appreciation. The kitchen was a complete makeover. The appliances we added were all new and top of the line. Fortunately, I did my homework in order to get good value as well as a good price. Having gone through this with all the stuff in the kitchen, it prepared me for replacing the HVAC. Initially, I started doing all the research on my own. There was so much out there that I was having a really hard time just separating different HVAC methods from one another. I guess it hadn’t occurred to me that there were other methods than a central air HVAC. This led me to engage an HVAC contractor to get some clarity on the whole thing. What a stroke of good luck that was. The HVAC contractor came to our home and really helped us understand our HVAC needs. Not only that but he also inspected our home and the old HVAC unit. He agreed that we were in need of an HVAC replacement. However, he pointed out how old and poorly designed the HVAC ventilation plan was. Most of the ducts were damaged or too old to fit a new system. I was stunned because I did not anticipate this cost. That’s when he showed us the ductless plan. It made so much more sense to have a series of mini split ductless HVAC units than replace the entire central air system. So, that’s exactly what we did and couldn’t be happier.
