Protecting air conditioner & gas furnace from pollutants

He also meticulously cleans all of the components to promote maximum efficiency & superior indoor air quality

I have several cats & they shed always. I sweep, vacuum & dust just about every afternoon. I disinfect the litter box every other afternoon. I worry about unpleasant odors, dangerous bacteria & unhealthy air quality. I also have issues over the reliable operation of the gas furnace & air conditioner, however as a forced air system, any buildup of contaminants within the inner workings causes inefficiency & added wear & tear. If airflow becomes restricted, the heating & cooling unit ends up running longer, working harder & yet providing diminished comfort! The larger workload increases the chance of malfunction & shortens repair life. I consulted with a local HVAC provider & asked for suggestions; He recommended that I substitute the air filter in both the gas furnace & air conditioner every month. He said that even if the program isn’t operating, the fitler is trapping allergens such as dust & dander & becoming plugged. He also strongly encouraged myself and others to enroll in a proactive repair agreement with his supplier, and with this agreement, a licensed worker services the gas furnace in the fall & the air conditioner in the Spring. He takes the unit apart & completes a thorough inspection. Any worn or broken parts are fixed or substituted. He makes sure wires are officially connected, motors thoroughly lubricated, belts in great shape & refrigerant charged. He also meticulously cleans all of the components to promote maximum efficiency & superior indoor air quality. I’ve also added a whole-home whole-house air purifier to help capture airborne particulate. The whole-house air purifier traps over 90% of bacteria, dust, dander, mold spores & even eliminates unpleasant odors.
