I don’t know if I will ever use air conditioning again
It has been a long time since I have had an air conditioner. I have not had air conditioning in my house since I was in college. My roommates and I pitched in to buy an air conditioner for the house that we were renting. It was really nice to have air conditioning in that house because it got really warm during the summer months. I moved a few states north for my job once I graduated college, and I have not used an air conditioner since. In my opinion, using an air conditioner in this climate is just a waste of money. It rarely ever gets above eighty-five degrees even during the hottest months of the year. I just put a couple fans in the house, and it stays very comfortable. I know that not everyone would agree with me on that, but I really don’t think that air conditioners are necessary here. I have neighbors who have air conditioning, and they keep their houses so cool. I just don’t want my house to be that chilly. I went to my neighbor’s house for dinner the other evening, and it was probably about sixty-five degrees in their house. I am used to my house being around seventy-five degrees, so I felt like I was in a freezer while I was there. I don’t know if I will ever use air conditioning again. I know that I will not use air conditioning as long as I am living here in this climate, but even if I do move to a warmer climate someday, I don’t know if I will use air conditioning. I am pretty content without air conditioning in my life.
