This hot season, we ended up finding a bunch of yellow jackets in our yard.
When you are somebody who is as deathly afraid of bees as I am, finding even a single yellow jacket in your yard is a wonderful enough reason to stay inside for the course of the day.
But we found swarms of yellow jackets out in our back field when we were getting prepared for a sizable family cookout, and that made it worse. There’s honestly nothing quite like a bunch of little kids getting stung by bees to ruin a family get together! When my kid as well as I were putting out all of the chairs as well as picnic tables for the cookout, this is when we started to notice a huge amount of yellow jackets… My kid realizes that I am entirely afraid of bees, hornets, wasps, as well as anything else with a stinger, so he didn’t say anything about seeing the bees at first. But then when we were putting the tablecloths on, I started to notice them also. At first, I only saw a single yellow jacket flying around the table, so I froze as well as just hoped that it would go away. But suddenly, many more came up next to that one, as well as that’s when I took off running for the dwelling as fast as my legs would carry me. My kid came in too, but he was laughing hysterically because he’s not scared of bees… I got to the dwelling as well as I thought about cancelling the cookout completely. I didn’t legitimately wish to do that, though, because we had people coming from out of town. Instead, I decided to reach out to a local bee eradication as well as extermination company and let them know about my emergency!
