Overheated kitchen

Sure enough, when I opened the vents, the kitchen became cool just like the rest of the house

For the past 6 months or so, I noticed my kitchen has been unbearably hot. While I did think about why that may be for a while, I always ended up getting distracted in doing something else and I eventually forgot about it again. The only problem was that since I cooked a lot, it would not only heat up the kitchen excessively, to the point I was dripping with sweat, but it also heated up the entire house! I didn’t even need a furnace at this rate, the heating was that bad. In winter this would have been appreciated, but it was in the middle of summer. I turned up my air conditioner machine, and felt almost the entire house cool down. All except the kitchen. I was beginning to get annoyed at this point, and I took a day off of work to inspect my cooling machine. The a/c unit was fine, so I then began to check the vents and I spotted the problem. All of the vents except for the one in the kitchen were open! I then suddenly remembered opening all of the vents for cooling in the summertime, and I must have forgotten about the kitchen. Ah, I wish I would have thought of that sooner, as I probably just cost myself even more in cooling from the AC system overworking itself. Sure enough, when I opened the vents, the kitchen became cool just like the rest of the house. Well at least now I know that I will have lower energy bills from now on. Problem solved.
