The HVAC tech arrived and fixed it just in time for my family’s arrival
My family was coming over for a family reunion. We were each in charge of something. My grandmother was bringing baked goods. My mother was bringing scented candles and my father was bringing gifts for the entire family. Even my kids contributed by helping set the table. I was in charge of cooking dinner in itself. I had already decided on making honey ham with a side of mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. As I rushed around the kitchen preparing and cooking all of the meals, a thought popped in my head. I forgot about the air conditioning system! My grandmother, although nice, was very, very finicky when it came to cooling machines. As in, if the house is too hot, she will go out of her way to make everyone’s life miserable. She becomes downright nasy in too warm temperatures. I’ve unfortunately learned this lesson from past experiences. I had planned to have my a/c component looked at before the family arrival, but I had completely forgotten! I called my husband and told him to quickly see if he can get a HVAC professional out tonight! The HVAC supplier, although about to close, was merciful and came out to maintain the a/c plan. The HVAC tech arrived and fixed it just in time for my family’s arrival. Dinner was almost ready, so my husband distracted them with talking while the HVAC serviceman left. I can’t believe I almost forgot, today could have turned out completely different if I hadn’t remembered. Now we can have a peaceful dinner without worry.
