For the past 6 weeks or so, I noticed our family room has been unbearably hot… While I did recognize about why that may be for a while, I always ended up getting distracted in doing something else and I eventually forgot about it again… The only problem was that since I cooked a lot, it would not only heat up the family room excessively, to the point I was dripping with sweat, however it also heated up the entire house! I didn’t even need a oil furnace at this rate, the heating was that bad, then in Winter time this would have been loved, however it was in the middle of summer. I turned up our cooling system machine, and felt almost the entire condo cool down, then all except the family room. I was beginning to get frustrated at this point, and I took a afternoon off of labor to inspect our cooling machine. The air conditioner device was fine, so I then began to check the vents and I spotted the problem. All of the vents except for the a single in the family room were open! I then suddenly remembered opening all of the vents for cooling in the summertime, and I must have forgotten about the family room. Ah, I wish I would have thought of that sooner, as I really just cost myself even more in cooling from the A/C system overworking itself, and sure enough, when I opened the vents, the family room became cool just prefer the rest of the house. Well at least now I recognize that I will have lower energy bills from now on, problem solved.
