When I finally got to my first endpoint, which was the food store, I ran through the sweltering parking lot and was rewarded with the rush of chilly a/c when I stepped through the doors of the food store, but at first, it was a relief to cool down inside the store.
The a/c in my car was broken and I was driving around running errands for the week. I was miserable… Without a/c, I was covered in sweat and my hair was sticking to my sweaty face. I was fanning my face with a take-out menu from a Chinese restaurant with one hand and driving with the other, which could be dangerous in itself. When I finally got to my first endpoint, which was the food store, I ran through the sweltering parking lot and was rewarded with the rush of chilly a/c when I stepped through the doors of the food store, but at first, it was a relief to cool down inside the store. I was cheerfully glad that the store was so cool, because I was unquestionably overheated more than ever and felt as if I was going to die! But the relief slowly turned into discomfort as the icy chilly blasts from the a/c vents beat me almost everywhere I went, you wouldn’t assume or think you could be too chilly in the Summertime, especially after driving around in a motorcar without having some kind of a/c, although I was freezing in no time. I had gone from overheated and covered in sweat to freezing chilly and covered in goosebumps in unquestionably little time. It seemed like the store had their temperature control thermostat on the wall set at freezing and I wondered how they could afford to keep their a/c running like that. I was almost cheerful as a little girl in the summer time months to get out of there and back into my hot and sweltering car.
