I sold my father’s HVAC company

When I think about it, it is easy to feel bad about selling my father’s HVAC company. I know that he always dreamed of having me run the HVAC company for him, but we both knew that that wasn’t going to happen. After high school, I didn’t become the HVAC technician that my father always hoped that I would be. I decided to join the military, and after I retired from the military, I became a police officer. My father and I didn’t hate each other, we just understood that I didn’t want to be an HVAC technician. As my father’s health began to fail, he told me that he didn’t have any HVAC technician in the HVAC company that he would consider handing the business to. He was trying to find someone to buy the HVAC company, but he thought that he would have more time than he did. When he died, his will was very clear. I was inheriting the HVAC company. There was a bittersweet feeling in my heart. Part of me wanted to train to be an HVAC technician to take over the company, but I knew that I would never be able to run the HVAC company in the short time that I had. Instead, I found another young HVAC technician to sell the company to. The HVAC technician reminded me of my dad, and I knew that he would have wanted me to sell it to this HVAC technician. I also made sure that the HVAC technicians working for my father would get jobs, and I knew this young HVAC technician would appreciate the help.
