Mine outside of time

I labor in a mine outside of town.

It’s hard work, but it’s good cash. It used to be a lot worse before the supplier I labor for invested in shipping container houses for us miners. Before we got these container homes, I used to have to get up at 5 AM just to make it into labor on time. It might sound odd when I say that while I was in the week, I live in cargo containers but it’s unquestionably not bad. These prefab shipping container homes have everything I need while I was in the workmonth to get by. Plus, by residing in the prefab shipping container homes, I get to sleep in much longer. These shipping containers can hook up to water and electricity so they have prefab showers and prefab kitchens right there so I can have dinner and breakfast, disinfect up and get back to labor the next afternoon. Another neat thing about it is that we’re able to have offices on locale too with prefab offices. They’re laboring on a multi-container building over on the west side of the mine so they can have various prefab offices for some of the men to labor from while it’s being built! Occasionally it’s kind of fun residing in the storage containers. I took my adolescents up to the mine to show them where I labor and live while I was in the week, and they thought that the prefab shipping container condo was kind of cool- my husband thought I needed to disinfect it but you can’t please most people! Honestly, though, I guess he enjoys that I have a shipping container condo so that I can get a good night’s sleep and not have to worry about driving in fatigued.
