A company's needs

I work in a mine outside of town.

  • It’s difficult work, however it’s good money.

It used to be a lot worse before the company I work for invested in shipping bag houses for us miners. Before every one of us got these bag homes, I used to have to get up at 5 AM just to make it into work on time. It might sound weird when I say that while in the week, I live in cargo containers however it’s actually not bad. These prefab shipping bag homes have everything I need while in the workweek to get by. Plus, by living in the prefab shipping bag homes, I get to sleep in much longer. These shipping containers can hook up to water and electricity so they have prefab showers and prefab living rooms right there so I can have breakfast and dinner, wash up and get back to work the next day. Another neat thing about it is that we’re able to have offices on locale too with prefab offices. They’re laboring on a multi-container building over on the west side of the mine so they can have many prefab offices for some of the guys to work from while it’s being built, then occasionally it’s kind of fun living in the storage containers. I took my youngsters up to the mine to show them where I work and live while in the week, and they thought that the prefab shipping bag home was kind of cool- my wifey thought I needed to clean it however you can’t please all the people! Honestly, though, I suppose she enjoys that I have a shipping bag home so that I can get a good night’s sleep and not have to worry about driving in tired.
