It’s hard trying to keep leaves & pine needles out of Heating and A/C condensers

Yard toil is terrible.

  • Whether it’s mowing the grass, raking leaves, or trimming trees & foliage, I never appreciate the time & effort it takes for landscaping labor.

Plus, whenever Spring rolls around & segues into summer, the amount of toil I have amplifies. It marks the time of the year when my grass starts growing again & the trees start to fluff out with an abundance of leaves. I also have to check my roof & the siding of my beach house after the ice has melted, making sure there are no water leaks that would pose a threat during the mid to late Summer rainy season. Although this year I was spared any roof or beach house repairs, there was a single thing that hit me with fury instead. Every year during this time, our pine trees drop their needles & pine cones which collect in our yards & roadsides. Sometimes they get lodged into motorcar tires or bicycle spokes, but the worst part is the needles themselves. I keep having to detach needles from my Heating and A/C condenser, so much so that the motor almost seized up during a normal cooling cycle the other afternoon. It was daunting to guess there was no way to prevent these tiny devils from entering the inner machinery of the condenser component without choking it off too much where the air flow is restricted. To my amazement, there are products available that stretch over your condenser component prefer a large hair net, with mesh large enough for steady airflow but dense enough to keep out leaves & pine needles. It was a game changer with my yearly yard toil & maintenance.
