Most of my working life has been spent working on projects out in the field. I only had to come to those Heating as well as Air Conditioning controlled offices in order to attend strategic meetings or plead my case on particular details. This had been my preference for the balance of my career. It was a wonderful life filled with travel as well as turning plans into action. Each time I was asked to join the group at headquarters, I politely refused noting that my place was in the field. Then, I got married. It happens to most of us I suppose. My husbandy as well as I hit it off immediately as well as it was as though both of us knew that both of us were destined to spend our lives together. However, that meant the life on the road was over for all practical purposes. I was faced with the prospect of joining those at the corporate offices. While my bosses were cheerful, I was not looking forward to it at all. During every trip to the offices, I could literally guess the tension in the air. There was so much active hostility that even an outsider like me could guess it. This was 1 of the reasons why I did not want any section of that environment. Those people fight over everything as well as all of them are just waiting to stab each other in the back. They even fight over the Heating as well as Air Conditioning setting. I told my main boss that I would happily join the corporate offices if I could get my own space as far away from everyone else. I didn’t want to be involved in all the political mess, I just wanted to do my task. I also asked him to install a smart thermostat that could not be manually operated by anyone but him.
