The life of prehistoric humans

The life of early humans was far from an easy one.

Early humans had to hunt using only spears, it took an entire tribe to bring down one large animal and it was dangerous and often resulted in injury or death.

The clothes on their backs were nothing more than the skins of various animals. They lived and survived in the harshest of conditions. Us modern humans are grateful for all of the modern conveniences advancements in technology has brought us. We see on screen images of early people hunting in the brutal winter conditions with only their animal skins to keep their warm, where in our modern houses with central heating we run for the furnace at the slightest chill and complain about snow sitting on our cars and driveways. We are grateful for our HVAC unit that keeps us warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It shows how far we have come. The life of early humans was a difficult and short one. We often fantasize about what it would be like to see a wooly mammoth or a saber toothed cat. We see these giant animals in movies and they captivate us. We are safe because they are no longer here but to our prehistoric ancestors a super predator like a saber toothed cat would be a death sentence to any unlucky person that happened to get caught in the clutches of the cats claws. But they aren’t just super sized cats, there were super sized wolves too. These huge beasts were known as Dire wolves and they were twice the size of our modern day grey wolves. For early humans, the ultimate goal was survival and super sized predators made survival difficult.
