Driving through the clouds

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring and I quickly slammed my hand down on top of it to stop the sound. It was 5:00 am and I had to get up for work. I threw my blanket off my body and was instantly hit with a chill. The air was absolutely freezing. I sighed inwardly and frowned in irritation. The stupid heater was busted again. The house I live in is old and the furnace frequently stops working. I decided to call my HVAC provider as soon as they open to have the heater repaired. Hopefully I can get one of those HVAC technicians out here as soon as possible by mid day. Regardless of the cool chill I had now climbing all over my body, I had to continue anyways. I threw on some clothes and headed out to my car, the moment I stepped outside I was meant with a wall of fog. It was everywhere and like a hungry blob it consumed everything in its path. I shoved my way grumpily through the land clouds and sat in my car. I started the car and it lit up. Still freezing, I turned on the car heater. At least my car heater wasn’t broken. I put the car in drive and pulled out of my driveway and on to the road, then I took my normal route to work. The fog didn’t get any thinner, in fact it got thicker. I was driving through clouds and I began to worry because how was I going to see anything. The headlights of other cars appeared only when they were close and they were obscured by the great wall of fog. At last I made it to work, once I was there, I escaped into the warm building.
