Raising money and awareness for Siesta Key Beach waste run-off with a gala

My spouse plus I are on the board of managers for a large nonprofit organization; and each year, the two of us have a weekend gala to raise currency for assorted organizations.

However, in particular, one locale that is near plus dear to my heart is Siesta Key Beach.

My spouse plus I have been living in Sarasota, FL for our whole life. My spouse grew up over by the bridge plus I grew up a mile from our current home near the hospital. All of us knew each other in elementary and grade school, plus the two of us saw each other again while attending university. Plus, when I was a kid, I spent every moment at the beach, riding my bike down to the pier plus spending most of the day trying to catch fish. When I was finally old enough to start surfing, my parents got me lessons plus this cool board. One of my number one locales to visit in the area is Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota; and, there is a lot of active marine life in the area like jellyfish, sharks, dolphins, plus other fish. Each year, the larger Sarasota County area plus Siesta Key is visited by more than 300,000 tourists. That is surely a good deal of constant foot traffic. Over the past year, many dead fish plus wildlife have been washing ashore. The greatest problem is companies dumping waste runoff into the fragile water system. It causes many odd localized concerns. There is a lot of algae in the water known as toxic red tide. My spouse plus I are hoping to raise a lot of currency plus awareness during the next gala. There are a lot of projects under way to keep our Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota from becoming a disgusting wasteland.
