I just got a task with a local heating and a/c corporation, however and the reason I applied for this position in the first site was because they had on the task training! You were supposed to get paid only a dollar an seventh less than a fully trained heating and a/c specialist! It was never said verbally, however this was what I was told by the ad in the newspaper.
I applied for the position since I had just got done getting our heating and a/c certification from the local heating and a/c university, and so this sounded like a blessing to be able to have an Heating and Air Conditioning business ready to train on the task! As with anything…if it sounds too great to be true it usually is.
I ended up getting our first paycheck and these scammers ended up paying me minimum wage! I was in an outrage over this! I Mayed right into the boss’ office and asked what had happened and why, he tells me that they never pay anything more than minimum wage for on the task training. And that the 1 dollar less than the trained heating and a/c specialists is for the first few months after training, however then if they don’t decide to let you go, you get paid full wages after that. At this point I was so angry about this and the flat out lies that were told in the newspaper ad that I quit right then and there and told them I was going to report them to the BBB for false advertising.
