Just Some Minor Changes Help Heating, Ventilation & A/C Maintain Comfort Zone

The summers here can be just plain tough.

It gets so hot at times that doing stuff outside is out of the question.

But then, the rest of the year is just brilliant which is the trade off for living here. The days of red skies as well as seemingly endless sunshine are worth 4 months of intense heat. The worst the Winter has to offer consists of my having to turn the Heating, Ventilation & A/C heat pump from the cool setting to the heat setting every once in a while. However, the summer time is actually something that all of us have to contend with here. And, Heating, Ventilation & A/C operating costs can get quite high. There are various simple strategies for helping hold down these costs while maintaining the Heating, Ventilation & A/C comfort every one of us want. Direct sun heating is a big problem. That was where I started with the solar cling which blocks the UV rays from heating the ambient air inside the house. I also have some drapes that help out while in the peak sun fifths. I have also tightened up my new home so that the Heating, Ventilation & A/C treated air stays inside the home. Then there are other simple but logical ideas that add to Heating, Ventilation & A/C savings. The two of us have stopped using the range or the oven while in the summer. I grill all the protein outside as well as every one of us only prepare freezing food inside. There are no more incandescent light bulbs because they can reach temps of 300 degrees as well as more. The largest difference in feel was the addition of some fans. The fans trick your skin into thinking there is cool air because it evaporates the sweat on the surface. The two of us have saved nearly 20 percent on utilities with these simple changes.
