Waiting for the snow to end

About a month ago, all of us had our first real snow of the season.

  • It was so cold outside that all all of us could do was rest inside plus watch it snow.

I didn’t even want to open the door to get the mail. The wind was howling, before the snow was over there was almost more than one feet of snow on the ground. I sat there reading a book when I realized our oil furnace hadn’t turned on lately. I had a blanket wrapped around our feet, despite the fact that I was still cold. I inspected the thermostat plus the temperature had dropped to sixty. I inspected to make sure I wasn’t having a problem with the thermostat plus I wanted to make sure the breaker hadn’t flipped. When both seemed to be fine, I called the HVAC company. They told myself and others that no a single could be to the house for at least a week. They were expecting another big storm that night plus they had all kinds of emergencies ahead of me. I had him put myself and others on the list plus I put on our coat, boots plus gloves. I had to head down to the wood; shed plus get enough wood to keep our wood burning stove running for the next week. I often wished the wood burner were a fireplace because I would get so much more heating, but as long as I stayed snuggled in the home office, I knew I would be safe. I stuck a couple of space oil oil furnaces around the house to make sure our pipes didn’t freeze; I then snuggled in by our wood stove plus blankets while waiting for the HVAC company.
