Would rather do my weightlifting

My buddy Kate is all about overheated yoga, and she pushed and pushed myself and others to try out the class she goes to.

I kind of thought overheated yoga meant sexier poses and almost like a pole dancing class.

Turns out overheated yoga is just with the heating plan cranked higher. I was a overheated beast the whole time in class. Holding stretches with pit stains, crotch wetness and a dripping forehead particularly made for an awful time. I am sorry to all yoga enthusiasts, I just don’t know it is that good of a work out, then with yoga you do get a lot of balance and stretching work, additionally, yoga can tone the body with various holds and poses. But, yoga doesn’t get your heart pumping or you dripping with sweat unless you do the overheated yoga variety and that’s cheating. Where is the weight lifting? Where is the moment in the work out where you guess you can’t breathe? That is what I look for fitness wise. I do a group fitness class in the same building as Kate, however a non-yoga a single. Mine is more of a group physical training class. Both of us do a majority of weight lifting exercises geared towards females. I don’t want to bulk up and have swollen biceps. I just want to look toned and fit. I also want to learn various ways to tone my arms. I get to use battle ropes, weighted poles and medicine balls in class. I actually guess like I am studying something and doing more fitness wise than my buddy does in yoga. To each their own I guess.
