Kevin has always been a DIY kind of person.
He built his own furniture and eventually went on to build a house for his family.
Before all of this, he was really into purchasing homes that needed a lot of work, fixing them up and flipping them for a profit. He found this kind of work to be fun and rewarding and was always coming up with new ideas. Kevin was smart about the houses he would buy. He would always ensure that the HVAC system did not need replacing before the purchase. Last year, he purchased a home with a 5 year-old HVAC system. This wasn’t too old, so it probably still had a few years left on it. As soon as he got the keys, he went over to the new house to start on a project. He noticed that the temperature inside was nearly 80 degrees. He adjusted the thermostat, and began his work. The house was not cooling down after several hours, so Kevin called an HVAC technician out to take a look. After the inspection, Kevin was told that the HVAC system would need a full replacement. Angry, he agreed to the replacement. He thought that with only 5 years of use, this HVAC system would last the next owners a few more years with no problems. Kevin was upset, but he was able to sell the house in no time and made a large profit even with the cost of the new HVAC system.
