There is a vibrant, awesome and very pregnant lady in my house.
My beautiful wife and I are blessed to be having our very first child.
The last 7 months have been wild and not at all like we had planned. It started out so tame and manageable. The morning sickness was hardly a deal for my wife. She just seemed to flow right in to carrying our child. So, I was thinking that this thing was going to be fairly easy to handle. I was so mistaken that I am still shaking my head. Starting with conception, we didn’t plan the pregnancy very well. My poor wife is carrying our child through the worst heat of the summer. Our part of the country is known for its blazing hot summers. And this summer is living up to the hype. The HVAC always gets a near continuous workout through the peak heati months. My job allows me to work from home. The thermostat stays well into the 80’s during the hottest part of the day. I prefer to get out a fan and sweat it out to save on the utility bill. Well, my dear soulmate was just put on bedrest for the duration of her pregnancy. She was expecting to work right up until the week before her due date. The doctor scuttled that. My wife is so uncomfortable and I have felt so helpless to do anything more to help her. I’m glad that I can be home to look after her but I had to find a way to help her cool off. So, I had the HVAC people come out and augment our existing heating and cooling system to provide zone control. Now, my wife has complete control of the bedroom and can control the thermostat from an app on her phone.
