I’ll be the first to admit that nobody is perfect.
The thing is, when we have the chance to do better, we should at least try.
I have a friend who always refused to get his HVAC system maintenance. He basically had to learn the hard way because eventually his HVAC system broke down during a difficult time. He was in the midst of a heatwave in the summer season and the cooling system was actually smoking when it broke down. He was told that his HVAC system was shot because it wasn’t maintained properly and it overheated to the point it could not be repaired. He had to have a whole new HVAC system installed. He thinks just because he has a new HVAC system, he doesn’t need any HVAC maintenance in the least. He tells me it will last a good 10-15 years without any help. I can’t believe he didn’t learn his lesson from ruining his last HVAC unit. It’s a real shame too because in a few years or so, he’s going to run into the same problem with this HVAC system. He might be in the middle of the winter season this time without a working heating system. Will he have the money to pay for another brand new HVAC? That’s hard to say. I mean he does make good money but he really needs to learn to be more responsible with his HVAC system so he isn’t paying for high priced energy bills and costly repairs. I hope that eventually he will learn his lesson and start doing right by his HVAC system.
