It irks myself and others no end to spend my savings for stuff I really get zero use out of.
There have been so several fads which are now at Goodwill or stuffed in a box somewhere that it makes myself and others weep to suppose about the money wasted.
As you, dear reader, really already know; it costs money to keep a household simply running. This doesn’t include all the other stuff like trips, celebrations plus luxuries. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C bill alone is like a nice, current truck payment each week in the summer. So, when I see the e-mail reminder from the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C folks asking us to confirm the semi annual repair date, I want to click no thanks. This is such a gut level reaction. While I understand the logic, I’m still denied any real, immediate value from having the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C inspected fall plus Springtime. However, I force myself to remember that I invested a good deal of money in a state of the art Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system. The money I spend on keeping the heating plus cooling machine in optimum shape allows for money on the long end. First, the savings in utilities will be significant. The heating plus cooling machine will also last, on average, 6 years longer. That’s kinda like paying for braces on your daughters teeth plus waiting for the smile. There is, for sure, real value in spending money on Heating, Ventilation plus A/C seasonal repair. So, I spend my savings up plus move on. Now, that stupid, whole home appliance warranty my spouse got us into, not a value. Actually, that there is far closer to a straight scam.
