I really don’t like the summer very much.
- Not only does the heat bring out the worst in everyone, but it also causes a lot of pain and suffering.
Last year, I had a sunburn so bad that I ended up in the hospital. I was slathered with sunscreen, but it just wasn’t good enough. This year, we are going through a heatwave and my air conditioning broke on me. I hate the heat and humidity of summer, but now I had the heat and humidity inside of my home. Normally my AC unit would make it bearable, but not this year. I should have known that something was going to go wrong with it. It had got hit with lightning earlier in the year, but it turned on when we checked it out. We thought that since it turned on and we had some air conditioning, we should be okay. That is one time I didn’t listen to my gut, but I soon found out that I should have listened to it. We had just gotten into a heatwave when my air conditioning went out. I called the HVAC company but they were so busy that it was going to take a while for them to get to the house. I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to hold out for the HVAC technician. When they HVAC technician finally arrived, I almost grabbed him and kissed him. While he was there repairing my air conditioning unit, I figured it was a good time to inquire on other ways to save some energy and money during the summer.
