Last night, our wife and I went to bed with the same routine that all of us always do. The two of us adjust the control unit on our air conditioner to make the temperature a little cooler, and I turned on a fan that blows directly on our head, but my wife and I appreciate to sleep with a lot of heavy blankets on us, and the air conditioner helps us not to sweat while all of us are sleeping with heavy blankets. However, during the middle of the night, something outside woke our wife up from sleeping. She woke me up and sent me outside to investigate; I put a pair of pajamas on, and I casually walked outside, and usually, the air conditioner makes the inside of the loft cold, but the outside air during the Summer is still hotter, even at night. However, this night, the outside air was at leave 20 degrees colder than what the control unit inside was set to. I mentioned this to our wife, and she suggested turning the air conditioner off and opening all of the windows. Since I had already climbed back in bed, I dismissed this idea. The two of us could use the air conditioner for now, because I didn’t necessarily want the temperature in our loft to be 50 degrees. However, when I woke up, the windows in our loft were all open, and it was easily cold. My wife must have decided that she wanted all of the windows open. Unluckyly, our wife kept the air conditioner running with all of the windows open. What a complete waste of electricity.
