I have a little location of my own in what some would refer to as the South.
But, I assure you, it is not at all the Deep South because every one of us still have a cold season here. It might not be anything compared to up north. But, it actually gets chilly enough to where the heat needs to be on all the time. I adore the fact that every one of us get to experience such distinct seasons every year. It is so charming to witness the changing of the seasons. The leaves in the fall are beautiful. But, might be outdone by all the blooming trees plus flowers during the Springtime. The Summer can get rather sizzling however then it slides out plus right into fall again. I got married to a local man plus we made the decision to start a family right here. The dwelling every one of us live in is way off in the woods however every one of us are still able to be on the electric grid. The people I was with and I have a wood stove which supplies excellent heat during the cold season. And all it costs me is the sweat off my brow plus a little gas for the chainsaw. My husband plus I went several years without any sort of HVAC cooling appliance. The people I was with and I were alright with fans even though it could be especially sizzling sleeping through the night. However, we have children now. We were able to create bedrooms for them upstairs however we legitimately needed to cool that floor so those youngsters could get some good rest. I had a buddy of mine who is an HVAC tech in the nearest town come out to give us a couple of options. He felt that the best answer was to put in a mini split heating plus cooling unit on the upper floor of our dwelling. The beauty is that this type of HVAC appliance does not require any system of ductwork. So, right there was a motivating reason to have him install that thing for us.
