I’ve been trying to get a job in a place far away from this ridiculously hot and humid climate for a long time.
I’m tired of living in the south. I don’t even live in a very good area of the town I call home. However, it’s not enough for me to move out of the area, I’ve got to move out of the state and find a cooler and more comfortable place to live! I’ve been looking at job and apartment listings in cities far away. The northeast is promising when it comes to a cooler climate, but housing is expensive in many of the places I’m looking at. I just want a place where I don’t have to use the air conditioning literally all year, you know? I would even be willing to trade it for using a furnace for most of the year instead. I’ve generally always preferred cooler weather over warmer weather. Looking at other cities farther out towards the midwest has me a little more concerned about winter though. The last winter they had out there was pretty brutal after all. I’m not very familiar with furnaces, so I guess I would have to learn a lot in order to keep myself warm through the fall and winter! It’s still a more tempting prospect than dealing with another year of heat and constant air conditioner use around here! This old air conditioner of mine is even showing signs of giving out! It has been 15 years after all, since the previous owners of this house installed it.
